Wednesday Wonderfuls Spring Fashion

Hey everybody!! Its a fantastic and beautiful day in Missouri today!!! We have been in the upper 70's and low 80's all week so far and its just going to continue!! But as some of you may know I am leaving for FLORIDA ON FRIDAY!!! I cannot wait!!! It's supposed to be beautiful down there too!

I probably wont be able to update on here much while I am there but I am going to try and use my uncle's computer to do a Wednesday Wonderfuls next week. Already starting to plan out what it is going to be on! But today, since its so pretty here, it got me thinking about all the different fashions that I love about Spring and Summer so today's Wonderfuls are going to be my top 10 favorite fashions of Spring and Summer!! Hope you enjoy!!

1. Sperry Top-Sider! As many of you know I do lov Sperrys!! And they are the perfect shoes for Spring and Summer (and even Fall). They are the most comfortable shoes and they have so many different colors and designs. You can always find something that totally fits your personality!

2. Skinny Ankle Jeans! These are my favorites for all year round. They can be easily put in boots in the winter but for the Spring and Summer I roll up the bottom to about my calf and wear some cute sandals or my Sperrys with them. Always looks adorable!!I love how this looks!! Thats why I have so many! New York & Company has the best! But that is not where the jeans in the picture are from.

3. Fedoras! Up until last year I was never really into these then I got one when I was in Venice and love it so much!!! I can't wait to wear it more because its so cute. Mine is very similar to the one in the picture but mine has a better story then just getting it from a store. I got mine from a weird vendor! (Dude in the picture)

4. Gladiator Sandals! I hated these when they first came out a few years ago but now I love them and have so many different pairs that have so many different looks! Now they are coming out with more amazing looks and I just want them all.

5. Lightweight Scarves! Been loving these for years! I love simple outfits, like I have said. Scarves are the best way to add a little color and pattern to a simple outfit for the Spring and Summer. I personally love little flowers on some of mine and I also love just plain color ones. I got my favorite, also from Venice like the fedora and it is so cute! Its the one in the picture with my dad. I wore them all over Europe last summer because they were easy to roll up and travel with. and easy to wear with t-shirts since those were the easiest things to bring over there.

6. Summer Dresses! These are perfect if your going somewhere warm for Spring Break! Lightweight and cute, but still comfy. I have so many of these and they come in handy when you are going out to dinner when its really warm out. I got a lot of mine that I have from Forever 21. They are cute and cheap so even if you only wear them for one summer you are still getting your moneys worth. My favorite actually came from Hollister about 4 or 5 years ago and I still love wearing it! Its a simple white dress and you can accessorize it so well.

7. Wedges! These make the most casual outfit a little bit more fancy. And there are so many different kinds! I love just the mostly simple ones that have a little bit of jazz to them. DSW is where I find a lot of my wedges, including ones I just got that I cannot wait to wear in Florida! These are so much easier to walk around in all day than heels are. I love comfy wedges! The blue stripped ones are the ones I just got! They are LifeStride. Toms even has some really cute wedges too!

8. Sunglasses! How can a person not love sunglasses!! I am obsessed with them! I once got 6 different pairs in China Town in New York and actually used them all. I think I got them for like $15 for all of them or something crazy! But there are so many different shapes, sizes and colors! Ah I just love them! I get a lot of mine now from Sunglasses Hut.

9. Purses! I know its not really clothes, but purses can make the outfit! And many of you know, I really do love purses! And my personal favorite, Coach has some of the best Spring colors for purses. So cute and so amazing! I have a light pink one that is just so Spring.

10. Flip Flops! Everybody has to love flip flops! They are like the definition of Spring and Summer shoes that are so easy to just throw on and go. And there are so many cute different kinds! That's the best because you can choose from so many! And for me the remind me of the beach and going to the lake. The ones in the pictures are Havaianas.

Well there we go! There are my favorite Spring styles! And I know it's actually Thursday now but I did most of it yesterday then ran out of time with work and studying for tests for today! Blue and Gray!

Hey everybody! I can't believe its a new year already!! New year means new styles and colors that are in this season, so for the outfit I am making today the color scheme is gray and blue. I was at work yesterday putting out all of our new jewelry which the new colors are gray and pale yellow and gray and pale blue. The theme for our new collection at work is nautical which I absolutely love but today I am just going for the colors and see what I can find that would look great together! And just to let everybody know I spell gray with an A. I dont spell it grey but companies do so that will be the different when talking about the stores.

Jeans are from Tommy Hilfiger and are the Skinny Ankle Jean with Zipper and are $78.00. I personally love the skinny jeans that have the zipper on the bottom because you know that if your wearing boots with them that they will be very tight around you ankles so you dont have to worry about the bulk of the pants coming out of the top of your boots. I hate that!!

I am keeping it simple with the top. I love simple one colored shirts because with a plain color there is so much you can do with it from jewelry to scarves or other accessories. This top is from American Eagle Outfitters and is that AE Favorite V-Neck T and is $15.50.

Since it is still cold here and I am all about North Face jackets I would personally put this Graphite Grey jacket with it. I like how this is darker than the shirt but will still keep the color scheme that we have going on.

I know I have put these boots in here before but for this outfit I am going with the light gray version of the boots to go with the outfit. And I just love these boots. So cute and very comfy. Found these fro DSW (my favorite shoe store of all time!) and they are the Diba Combat Boot in Grey and are $69.95. And if you shop at DSW enough you get coupons like $10 off a purchase. I love the coupons!!!

I am a huge fan of bangles and I love these ones with the outfit. It has the different color blues and the white to accent the whole outfit! Love Love Love!! These are from http://www.tillys.com/ and are $9.99. They are called FULL TILT 9 Piece Colorblock Bangles. I may just have to buy these soon!

Not the same color blue as the bracelets but I think it works. It sets off the light blue color of this necklace while also setting off the colors in the bracelets. Also wouldnt need to wear all the bracelets if you didnt want to. This is a Lucky Brand Pendent with a Blue Stone. I found it on http://www.macys.com/ and is $35. I love this necklace so much!!!

In my mind an outfit is not complete without and handbag! And although I couldnt afford this one I LOVE it. For the people that know me, I have an unhealthy obsession with Coach purses and its sad how much I love them. This is the Coach Pinnacle Leather Louisa and is a crazy $698! Gotta love a good scarf!

This week has been so gray and gloomy and today I wanted to just wear a cute scarf that was fashionable and functional at the same time! So I am totally having a scarf day! I absolutely love scarves and in my mind you can never have too many. There are so many ways that they can be worn from different ways around our necks to even on our heads such as the hijab.

Heres a little bit of interesting background information on the evolution of scarves. I found it very interesting.
-Queen Nefertiti is one of the first known scarf wearers.
                                This was used as a status symbol in ancient Egypt. I learned in my art appreciation class this semester that the queen and the pharaoh who was Akhenaten at the time changed how the cutlure viewed the art in Egypt. There was a bust form made of her and she has so called "perfect" features.
-Chinese warriors used cloth (scarves) to show their rank in the military.
-Croatian Mercenaries did the same thing in later times. The soldiers wore plain cotton scaves and the officers wore more expensive silk ones.
-France loved the colors of the scarves and the men soon began to wear the scarves to show their political affiliations.

From this point the scarves became more and more accepted and began to evolve to what we know now. We wear them for fashion but they really started out as showing of a person's status. Personally I am very thankful that scarves evolved into what they are today or I would be without some of my cutest accessories!! Today I decided to wear one of my favorite types of scarf which is the Pashmina scarf. Technically they are called shawls but I love how they are large and I can have them around my neck and look larger so that it keeps me warm like I wanted to have today! The one that I wore today is reversible like many of the pashminas are and I love it because you can wear it two totally different ways!

Between my mom and I we have 4 different ones and when I say different I mean totally different!! But they all make an outfit look so cute! And two of them I actually got at the mall when it has little booths through out the mall. The guy selling them was right outside my work so I went there as fast as I could!

So anyways mine I wore today was discussed but here are more of what I really love and how stinking cute they are.

The infinity scarf is one of my personal favorites because there are so many different kinds. I have a few that are light weight for summer (summer scarves) but I also have a few that are for colder weather too. These scarves are very versitile which is what I love about them!! They are so easy when your about to run out of the door and either need something to keep your neck warm or to just jazz up your outfit a bit.

More scarves that I love are the big winter ones that are so soft and comfy! I could just wear those all the time in the winter and love it!  My favorites are the cable knit ones that are really big so that it really covers up your neck when it is cold but it still cute when you wear them. We have some at New York & Company that are so soft and so cute and have been on a great sale so those have been selling like crazy!!

I am currently in love with all the tribal looks and patterns that are in style right now. The Pendleton Wool scarf is probably my favortie out the the four that I have above. My mom used to have a Pendleton Wool skirt that she kept and last year I actually took the skirt apart for one of my sewing classes and made the cutest clutch out of the wool fabric!

I know its not a scarf but that is just so cute! That is the clutch that I made out of my moms old skirt!

There is probably an infinite amount of scarves of different colors, patterns, shapes and sizes to choose from so go out and wear the cutest scarves that you can find and spice up an outfit! Thanks everybody for reading!!
